Trick or Treat 1

It's 6:00 sharp on Halloween night and Anna sits back after lighting all of her pumpkins, enjoying the night air. She could hear chatter in the street a block over and knew the little goblins would come her way. She loved Halloween more than any other holiday, being a bit biased with it also being her birthday. She'd had a lovely walk and lunch with her mother before they started setting up the decorations. Tallulah had gone over to Nick's for dinner and a quiet night together. Stephanie and Tamela were both working. Her father was hermitting again, but he'd sent a text earlier. Thirty nine was looking as normal as any other birthday, with the exception of Lee. Lee was absent this year. Missing or dead, she still didn't know what to believe, but not here. She was trying hard not to think about it and was saved again by the distraction of trick or treaters approaching.

Often at this early time it was the little ones first but her first callers were a pair of teens. The girl was dressed as a Ghostbuster - excellent choice. Anna grinned to herself remembering the fun party at The Black Hole where she was in a similar costume. The boy was dressed as Merida from Brave with a big pair of sneaker sticking out from the bottom of the dress. Anna suppressed a giggle. Awesome and bold. They clomped up the porch stairs.

Anna Wright smiles at the approaching Ghostbuster girl "Who ya gonna call?"

 Lokii Sjong: Trick or treat smell our feet.

Anna Wright smiles at Merida too "Nice...the runners really make that...fair maiden." she teases "Take some candy kids."

Ase Sjong: give us something sweet to eat.  Thank you and happy Halloween.

Anna Wright returns the sentiment "Happy Halloween!"

Lokii Sjong laughs "Only day I'll wear a dress."

Anna chuckles as they wander off and then Wendy Stanley crosses the street with baby Robbie Stanley in a sling dressed as am adorable fuzzy tiger.

"Trick or Treat!" she says in greeting to Anna.

Anna giggles "Oh my gosh look at him...Hey Robbie."

Robbie shakes his head and roars back.

"Oh sorry...hey tiger." The baby smiles at her. "You don't really want me to give him candy do you Wendy?"

Wendy laughs "No, the twins will get enough. We're taking him to see my mom so she can see the costume. Ford's Dad is coming to be home for Mabel and Mason. I've left them some supper even. Just wanted to say hi and wish you a good night....and did I overhear that it's your birthday?"

Anna snickers "Yeah it is. Not such a big deal as we get older."

Wendy smiles and pushes a lock of blonde hair from obscuring her eyes. "Oh I know what you mean but enjoy it anyway. Oh there's Ford with the car seat...I should go. If Robbie naps, we'll actually get a conversation with each other and no kids!"

Anna waves her on "Thanks and go while you can. Sleep little tiger!" she says to Robbie. He answers her again with a roar but then yawns on his way to the car.

Cedar point Halloween had begun.
